Devī Māhātmyam is a text that describes the glory of the divine feminine. It is part myth and part philosophy, part narrative and part hymn. It addresses the perennial questions of our existence: What is the nature of the universe, of humankind, of divinity? How are they related? How are we to live in a world of both good and evil? How do we find lasting inner peace? Devī Māhātmyam is much more than a story; it is an allegory of the spiritual path. It has the power to help us confront our demons, dispel our mistaken idea of who we are, and awaken us to our true being. In this four-part series, we will hear the stories of Devī Māhātmyam and learn about its significance and how it relates to us. In addition to the rich philosophy, we will learn to chant the Tantroktam Devī Sūktam - a 30 verse hymn contained within the Devī Māhātmyam that invokes the Devī.
