The Bhagavad Gita is one of the most important texts in the Vedic tradition, and clearly lays out the philosophy that is at the very foundation of Yoga. Through its study, we can discover how to truly live Yoga - right in the midst of the messiness of life. We can use the Gita as a springboard to examine the very nature of the human condition and discover timeless teachings to aid in spiritual growth. In this 18 part series, we will move through the entire Gita, chapter by chapter. Each class will be devoted to one chapter; exploring its timeless wisdom and discovering how to apply that wisdom to modern life. In this way, the Gita will come alive and hold deep relevance for the student. Each class will end with the call and response chanting of one significant verse from that chapter as a way to introduce students to the profound beauty of chanting the Gita as part of a daily practice.
