This module will be the first of many as we make our way through a text that provides a deep dive into Sanskrit grammar. A strong foundation will be laid in this module as we master the vocabulary needed to study the language, and learn the various rules of sandhi .

About the event

Sanskrit as a language is quite beautiful; it is complex enough to be interesting and yet straightforward enough to be manageable. It is very worthwhile to study, because knowledge of Sanskrit grants access to an enormous body of literature, and deepens the experience of Yoga, Ayurveda, and personal mantra sadhana.

 

This module will be the first of many as we make our way through a text that provides a deep dive into Sanskrit grammar. A strong foundation will be laid in this module as we master the vocabulary needed to study the language, and learn the various rules of sandhi (chapters 1-3 of the required text - see below).

 

Classes meet from 2-3:30pm on Sept 14, 21, 28, and Oct 05, 12. Classes will meet in-person with the option to attend via Zoom. Classes will be recorded.
