About the event
Sanskrit is an ancient language that is said to be derived from the vibrations already present in the universe. It is considered divine and sacred, and as such it has the ability to open our hearts and minds in profound ways. Whether you are a yoga teacher hoping to refine your pronunciation of Sanskrit words, want to start or elevate your chanting practice, or just simply love to learn about language, this workshop is for you.
In our time together, we will discover all of the sounds of the Sanskrit alphabet and discuss how to read transliteration, which is the key to finding the correct pronunciation of any word in Sanskrit. We will then practice all this newfound knowledge by learning a chant that encapsulates the deep philosophical understanding in Sanskrit that words are the universe.
